Stephen Wohr has been in practice in Denton County for 25 years. He is admitted to practice law in Texas and New York. He has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 1991. Mr. Wohr graduated from the State University of New York with a Bachelors degree focused on Legal Studies in 1986 and the Cardozo School of Law, New York, with his Juris Doctorate in 1989.
In addition to his continuously maintained private practice, from 1991 through the present, he has had many years of experience in positions with the local government. In 1996 he was appointed by the Commissioners Court of Denton County as a Magistrate Judge for five years. In 1996 he held a seat on the City Counsel of Lake Dallas, Texas, for two years, and in 1998 he was elected as the Mayor of Lake Dallas, Texas, a position he held for the following six years.
Mr. Wohr is admitted to practice law in all Texas State Courts, the Texas Northern District Court, the Texas Northern Bankruptcy Court, and most other Federal Courts by special request. He frequently travels to Collin, Dallas, Tarrant, Grayson, and other counties in North Texas to represent clients in court.
